Hey Guys
We have seen that sometimes people have trouble finding EV Charging Stations. Because they are not listed on the app they are using, or the company forgot to list. Whatever the case.
We have figured that Google Maps ultimately might be the best app to locate EV chargers(since we all use the app already).
We request you to add on Google Map the EV Chargers. The ones you are aware of, check if they are listed on maps. If not add them. You are visiting a charger shown in some other app, check if it's listed on maps. If not add it.
We need to do this. Obviously companies should, but everyone seems to be busy in making their own app. So let's do this, for current and future EV owners.
We are going to show how to do this.
Step 1 - Open Google Maps. You will see 'contribute' at bottom of app. Click it.
Step 2 - on the new screen, you will see 'Add Place'. Click it.
Step 3 - On the new screen, option to add details will appear.
Naming - You can name the EV Charger in a following way. [Charger Company] EV Charging Station [**kw Connector Type(n)]. n being number of connectors of a particular type.
So lets say that we are adding a Zeon Charging Station having 2 CCS2 at 50kw. So name it like - Zeon EV Charging Station 50kw CCS2 (2).
We can't add details to charger (only owner can), so adding detail in name might be a good idea.
Category - Electric Vehicle Charging Station.
Location - Select location. If the charger is situated inside a location (dealer, complex, underground parking), mention that too in option 'located within another place'.
Here's one that was done by our member Atharva.
Publish and you are done. Google will review it and publish.
We hope that you all find this useful and help in this task.
