Got delivery of NexonEV On 10th Nov, and yesterday with just 130+ km on ODO got this error. Tried again and again for 10 minutes to start, it won't move past this screen, won't engage the drive shift. Finally called Service center and was told to try after half an hour. 30minutes later when I tried, the trouble had gone away.
Clearly some bad sensor issue. Hope this is not the classic TATA low-quality control issue, that will keep bothering me again and again. It'd be sad, because design & engineering wise NexonEV is a gem. Tata needs to put good QC & service behind this.
EDIT (Jan 1st 2021): This problem never recurred. So, I am putting it down to some dampness in some sensor. I will know next rainy season I guess.. The experience with this vehicle over past 45 days has been amazing. It is a well put together car, that is a pleasure to drive. The way it picks up, handles bad roads and the music system that brings smile to your face...
Tatas have a winner in their hands. But it may take a few years for Indians realize EVs are way better than ICE vehicles. Perhaps their fear is resale value.

It never recurred. Either a sensor misfire or a software glitch. But, didn't repeat in 3 months so I hope this won't recurr again.
I had the same issue once. It rectified itself in 10 minutes. Haven't had that issue again.
Which variant you would recommend to buy
So this seems like a software issue🤔. Like we try some software in PC/phone after sometime and it starts working again. Hope they fix this with update. Seeing many problem, but recent software update seems to have solved many. Keep us updated.
